Building the Monster.

Nothing like spending a lazy Sunday with a friend working on your bird. Also thank god for winter and rain, otherwise I would never work on them, just fly them! I am waiting for Chris at Extreme Flight RCto come out with the "no assembly required" kits.

Tim Cooper working on doing a modification to get that fat DA-60cc mounted in the plane.

She's looking good!

After a little effort we got it in! Still need to work out a couple issues but it's coming along. Note we used 1" stand offs for the DA-60cc unlike the longer ones used for the DA-50cc.

A Monster is coming.....

Here's a little package I got in the mail yesterday. Chris at Extreme Flight RC has turned out a ton of great airframes and this is one of his latest. The Edge 540T 59cc.

I bought the combo package with the DA-60cc motor. And let me tell you Chris has out done himself again!! I think I am getting sick...need to stay home from work....yeah that's the ticket.

Stay tuned as I build this bird...

The Outlaw E from Extreme Flight

People often ask "Why should I belong to a club? I can fly anywhere." While this may be true, you’re forgetting one vital thing to your growth in the hobby, friendship. Joining a club means you meet a ton of people with a ton of experience and knowledge. That experience and knowledge and into play when I was looking to make a motor mount for my Outlaw conversion, sure I could have made my own, but nothing like the one you see here.

These couple pictures are why you should belong to a club as a friend I met at the club made this motor mount for me. Thanks for the bang up job Larry and thanks Nampa Model Aviators!

Dr. Frankenstien it is alive!!!

"Nothing is more painful to the human mind, than…the dead calmness of inaction and certainty which follows, and deprives the soul both of hope and fear"....ok a little over the top?

Anyway Dr.Frankenstien or better known as Ken Simmons, has been busy in his lab and came up with this, a Rotormast V-22! This is the maiden flight! I can not wait until he installs the scale body!

2011 Polar Bear Fun Fly (Frozen Finger fun fly)

Today we, the few, the proud, the truly dedicated and slightly “not right in the head” ventured out into 10 degree weather with lipos in our pockets and a few gallons of nitro to participate in another Snake River Valley Modelers Polar Bear Fun Fly (Frozen Finger fun fly)

Awards:

First Polar Flight goes to Larry

First dead stick of the year goes to Tim Cooper, there is no tank too big for him.

First crash of the year goes to Bob, Bob says he lost it in the sun, most believe he wants a new plane for this year.

We would like to thank Ken Simmons for putting this together and more importantly a special thanks to his wife for making the chili! It saved many lives today. Also a thanks goes out to John Davis for commandeering his neighbor’s propane heater.
